I am looking to make some changes to a formal room turned into a playroom. It's an entry room to the house so I'm wanting advice on how someone would handle that without it being tacky when you have guests over.Is there any place to ask advice on how to decorate a space without having to hire someone?
Try going to HGTV.com. I watch hgtv constantly and am always getting new ideas from there. Is there any place to ask advice on how to decorate a space without having to hire someone?
Maybe get a wood chest to keep toys and such in so they are hidden... or possibly if the room is big enough and you have bulky things you wish to hide, maybe put up a curtain or a screen to hide them.
Maybe you should flip through the catalogues or home design magazines to get some ideas.
get the house makeover magizene for 1$ and look in it u can get really cute things in there for cheap
I believe that you can disguise the playroom and make it more organized by what you put in the room. You can get shelving and put boxes or plastic containers on it for the toys and then put a curtain rod on top with a pair of curtains hanging down to cover up the toys and for easy access for the kids by just opening the curtains. You could also put a day bed in there that can also be used for guests to sit down and take their shoes off. A small table and chair set could be used to play cards when the guests are there, or for the kids to use to make crafts or do homework. Just use your imagination and you would be surprised at the great ideas you can come up with to improvise. I hope this helps.
