So could you please share some advice about how to make it elegant and heartfelt but so it still stands out. I'd prefer to avoid clich茅s of any sort - is that possible?
Thank you.Can you offer any advice on how to successfully write a love poem?
Haha, it seems you and I are one in the same, judging mostly from your lexicon, but in order to make it heartfelt, it has to be just that, you can't pull your words from other sources in the case of composing a love poem, it comes from real experience, like a simple drive around with your girlfriend and the way her cheeks rise when you she smiles at you, or when she says just the right thing at just the right time, you need to draw personal experience in the form of words, you seem like a smart man, you will figure it out, I hope this helped you.Can you offer any advice on how to successfully write a love poem?
Even love poems can be dark. And, as it turns out, even clich茅 topics can work. If you write about them well. One has to have a unique view on a cliche topic for it to be successful. Looking into someone's eyes can be a topic. Maybe they have dark eyes. Describe the darkness, yet ground the audience. Let them know, somehow, that you're talking about eyes.
Perhaps a less clich茅 topic could be a heartbeat. Describe the rhythm.
But whatever your topic is, ground it in a moment in time. It has to be veeery specific. And make it real. If you didn't experience it, don't write about it.
:]
it has to come from the heart. If you dont have anyone you love then you shouldnt be writing love poems. If you do, then it shouldnt be hard. Just make it rhyme and speak from the heart lol
speak directly from your heart and don't doubt yourself. Using metaphores is usually a good thing to, but be careful you don't go into the abstract because you may lose people in your vision.
