I need help writing a book. Any practical advice on how to get started?

I have many ideas for writing a book but I don't know how to get started. Can you recommend a ';how to'; guide or perhaps some software? I especially need help with organizing my ideas and structure. ANY advice is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!I need help writing a book. Any practical advice on how to get started?
I have often thought of doing the same. Until I retire, I don't have the time. You might try advertising to find an established author who may be willing to co-write with you to start. Shared revenue, shared learning for you. It's just a thought. Good luck, I will look forward to seeing you in print someday. However, I wouldn't use the avatar picture you now have.I need help writing a book. Any practical advice on how to get started?
Take a creative writing course first. Writing the book is only half the battle. You have to sell it to a publisher as well. A Good course will help you with both of these things
buy a ream of pads and a pen and start filling up pages. after about a month, if you have filled up around 3 pads, you can start to enter your stuff into a word processor, but not any sooner.
