Advice on how to repaint my car and for cheap?

ok so i have a 1990 oldsmobile and its just pretty damn old...and it is a hideous faded light blue color and i want to change the color...the only problem is that i dont have a lot of money to do it with because im only 16 and i dont have a job....but anyway, i wanted to maybe buy some spraypaint or something at walmart and paint my car, then gloss it so it has a shine.....but the only problem is.....

that my car has a fake convertable top soo it has an ugly dark blue fabric on it and i would like to remove it but i think that if i do ill find the metal under it to be rusted and crapyy.....sooooo if you all can give me any advice on what i should do about the paint or the fabric that would be FANTASTIC!

Thanks!Advice on how to repaint my car and for cheap?
When in comes cars, the words paint and cheap do not go together. To properly refurbish the exterior of a car will run a couple of thousand which your car is not even worth. That being said, pick up some polish and some vinal cleaner for the roof and put some elbow grease into it.Advice on how to repaint my car and for cheap?
I got a Maaco paint job and it lasted well.

Go to Hardware store and get a gloss-metallic paint and brush. Paint the top with a undercoating spray to get that new vinyl top look. Should be able to do job for 30.00.
